The Back Door, a Louisville staple, shut its doors. Here's how to own a piece of the bar

The Back Door, a beloved watering hole of nearly 40 years in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood, shut its doors for the last time in mid-May. Often recognized for its delicious wings, late-night pool games and a wall mural featuring portraits of customers, the bar holds lots of fond memories for locals.

For those who didn't get the chance to visit before the abrupt closure, there's another way to keep The Back Door's memory alive: All items from the longstanding establishment will soon be on sale.

Louisville: The Back Door The Back Door closes after almost 40 years in business

According to Estatesale.com, a sale will be held from June 14-22 of Back Door memorabilia. Items available for purchase include barware, chairs, tables, kitchen equipment, pool tables, flat-screen TVs, neon lights, wall art of the customers and Back Door attire. The location of the sale will be available on the EstateSale.com June 13.

The sale dates are as follows:

  • June 14: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • June 15: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • June 16: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • June 21: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • June 22: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • June 23:10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
