Avocado Oil Sold Nationwide Recalled Due to Breakage Issue With Glass Bottles

If you cook with avocado oil, you may want to check your cooking oil supply. Primal Kitchen is voluntarily recalling approximately 2,060 cases of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil because the glass may be prone to breakage, causing the product to spill.

The recall impacts 750-mL bottles of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil with an individual package UPC of 8-5523200719-4, a Case UPC of 108552320071910000, and a “Best When Used By” date of 19 Aug 2025 through 21 Aug 2025. No other sizes, formats, or batches of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil have been impacted.
According to the United States Food & Drug Administration, the recalled avocado oil was sold in the eastern United States and California, as well as online nationally. No injuries or illnesses related to this recall have been reported to date.

The issue with the packaging that prompted this recall was discovered after the company realized (via monitoring of the Primal Kitchen warehouse) that some avocado oil had leaked in shipping containers.
Primal kitchen has apologized for any “inconvenience” this recall may have caused, and noted that it is “committed to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.”
