New AutoZone store headed to West Morris Street in Bath. Here's the details

AutoZone, a leading retailer of automotive replacement parts and accessories in the U.S., will open a store in Bath in July, according to the company.

Construction of the 6,000 square foot store at 323 West Morris St. is scheduled to begin this week, said site supervisor Daniel Ree of the Aurora, Ill.-based Hanna Design Group.

HDG recently completed the construction on a Harbor Freight Tools store on Seneca Road in Hornellsville.

Plans call for AutoZone construction to be completed by July 7, with the store opening its doors to customers near the end of that month, Ree said. The location sits on vacant commercial land opposite from a West Washington Street Walgreens Pharmacy.

There was no immediate word on how many people the store will employ or its hiring plans.
