Autism Acceptance Color Run returns Sunday at Spartan Fields

The Spartan Social Committee of St. Peter’s High School in Mansfield will host the Autism Acceptance Color Run from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Spartan Fields, 640 Hickory Lane.

The Autism Acceptance Color Run is a variation of the traditional color run that promotes autism acceptance and raises awareness about autism spectrum disorder. It aims to celebrate neurodiversity and emphasize the strengths and unique abilities of people on the autism spectrum.

The run is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. It provides an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can participate, regardless of their neurodiversity or physical fitness level. Organizers often collaborate with autism advocacy organizations, local autism communities, schools and other stakeholders to ensure the event's success.

In addition to the color-themed fun run, the event will include face painting, a bounce house and refreshments while raising funds to support autism-related programs and services.
