Austin police investigating homicide that left man dead at North Austin apartment

The Austin Police Department is investigating a homicide that left one man dead at a North Austin apartment complex Wednesday night.

Austin police officer Jeremy Fisher said officers responded to a 911 call that was flagged as either a shooting or stabbing at about 10 p.m. at 960 Middle Fiskville Road.

When officers arrived at the apartment complex, Fisher said they found a man in his 30s with "obvious signs of trauma" to his body. Paramedics with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services attempted life-saving measures, but he was already dead.

Fisher did not say how the man was killed but noted that investigators do believe it was an isolated incident.
