Boys basketball

Jason Ward, Round Rock: Exploded for 25 points to help the Dragons open district play with a win over Westwood.

Luke Lande, Liberty Hill: Hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to help the Panthers to a 70-48 win over Georgetown on Friday.

Toby Rimann, Liberty Hill: Tallied 15 points as part of the Panthers’ win over Georgetown.

Jaxson VandeGarde, Johnson: Poured in 22 points to pace the Jaguars to a 75-68 District 26-6A win over Bowie.

Jack Untermeyer, Johnson: Finished with 17 points as the Jaguars moved to 4-0 in district play with a victory vs. Bowie.

Braeden Spinden, Bowie: Had 22 points in a loss vs. Johnson.

Mason Wasserburger, Bowie: Sank 20 points as the Bulldogs had a narrow loss to Johnson.

Chi Ukachukwu, Hendrickson: Recorded 13 points, three rebounds and three blocks in a 69-53 win over Hays.

Evan Millard, Hendrickson: Tallied 13 points to help the Hawks defeat Hays.

Josiah Hollmon, San Marcos: Went off for 22 points in a 94-66 win over Victoria West.

Donavan Riddick, San Marcos: Finished with 21 points to help the Rattlers defeat Victoria West.

Josiah Moseley, Stony Point: Had 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks as the Tigers beat Vandegrift 63-34.

Junior Goodlet, Stony Point: Recorded 12 points and four boards in the Tigers’ victory vs. Vandegrift.

Bo Ogden, St. Michael’s: Poured in 23 points as the Crusaders routed St. Stephen’s 96-54.

Tomas Bruzoni, St. Michael’s: Went off for 22 points in a win over St. Stephen’s.

Henry Mayes, McCallum: Led five Knights in double figures with 15 points as McCallum topped Eastside 93-51.

George McCoy, McCallum: Finished with 13 points in a win over Eastside.

Peyton Dulin, Cedar Ridge: Tallied 14 points to lead the Raiders to a 47-39 win over Vista Ridge in the District 25-6A opener.

Nabil Ismail, Cedar Park: Had 10 points in the Timberwolves’ 69-25 win over Crockett.

Carson Penland, Cedar Park: Sank 10 points to help the Timberwolves defeat Crockett.

Girls basketball

Gianna Angiolet, Westlake: Poured in 24 points to lead the Chaps past Dripping Springs.

Tamia King, Westlake: Had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds as the Chaps beat Dripping Springs 68-23.

Riley Samples, McNeil: Finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds while adding five steals in a 45-41 win over Manor.

Jivana Caceres, Hays: Poured in 23 points to lead the Hawks past Leander.

Soma Okolo, Glenn: Scored 20 points to pace the Grizzlies in a victory over Lockhart.

Maddie Broxterman, Vandegrift: Poured in 29 points to help the Vipers defeat Stony Point 55-41.

Saania Khawaja, Vandegrift: Finished with 19 points, five rebounds and four steals as Vandegrift downed Stony Point.

Janiyah Alvarez, Cedar Ridge: Recorded a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds to help the Raiders edge Vista Ridge 51-50.

Mikala Johnson, Cedar Ridge: Had 12 points in the Raiders’ victory vs. Vista Ridge.

Jasmine Culpepper, Hendrickson: Scored 18 points as the Hawks beat Bastrop 70-21.

Reese Hoadley, Georgetown: Scored at least 30 points for the second consecutive game as she hit five 3-pointers on her way to 30 points.

Aima Ofunrein, Stony Point: Finished with 14 points in a loss to Vandegrift.

Mary Bortels, Stony Point: Had 14 points as the Tigers fell to Vandegrift.
