Augusta women say thanks to those who contributed to the Empty Stocking Fund CSRA

A pair of struggling Augusta residents recently expressed their appreciation after they turned to the Empty Stocking Fund CSRA for help.

"I'm a single mom and it seems like I'm having to choose between buying dinner some nights or putting gas in the car," said Ms. E. Allen. "For those who give to the Empty Stocking Fund, you are such a blessing. Thank you so much."

Mrs. E said it was tough for her to make ends meet during the holidays.

"It's always hard when you can't do the things you would like to do for your family," she said. "Receiving support from our community is truly a God sent blessing. Thank you for thinking of others before thinking about yourself. And may the Lord bless you."

The Empty Stocking Fund CSRA has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for more than 90 years. Last year, the charity raised enough money to assist 1,300 children throughout the CSRA. A $35 donation will provide gifts valued at $80-100 for one child this holiday season.

Donating online is private and secure. If you wish to donate anonymously, please type “anonymous” in the acknowledgment field of the donation section.
