Without a shot of any kind in the first half, Mason will have to make changes if he wants to pose a threat and get his side back level. Richarlison has offered precious little in tandem with Kane, which could mean the introduction of either Kulusevski or Perisic in relief. Bissouma should also make his introduction at some point, with the pair of Skipp and Hojbjerg not working effectively. Emery will be encouraging his side to keep up the intensity and push on for a second goal, with the likes of Traore and Cash available to add an extra boost down the flanks.

It was a poor performance from Spurs, who appeared timid defensively and unsure going forward as they consistently allowed their opponents time and space to orchestrate play in midfield.
