Ashland man accused of distributing child porn

Feb. 2—CATLETTSBURG — An Ashland man was jailed Wednesday on charges of possessing and distributing sexual content of young boys.

Walter Sherman Thomas, 42, was arrested by Ashland Police officers after a search warrant from the online social network, Reddit, tracked illegal sexual content to Thomas's address.

According to his arrest citation, Thomas admitted to police that he had several images of nude boys between the ages of 10-14 stored on his phone and had shared those images to 10 to 20 people online.

Thomas is charged with possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Thomas was scheduled for arraignment in Boyd County District Court on Friday.
