Art market season has begun!

The Native Treasures Art Market will bring more than 150 artisans chosen by the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture to the Santa Fe Community Convention Center over Memorial Day weekend, and they'll be selling jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, beadwork, textiles, and more.

The event starts with an early access market on Friday night, and is open from 9 a.m through 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Participating artists keep 100 percent of their sales, and all ticket proceeds go to programs and exhibitions at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.

Two artists — Patricia Michaels from Taos Pueblo and Martha Arquero from Cochiti Pueblo —will be feted as part of the Friday Night Market.

Michaels will receive this year's Living Treasure award in honor of her contributions to fashion and culture, while Arquero will be celebrated with the Legacy Award in recognition of her decades of work creating clay sculptures.
