A man in Nebraska filmed an incredible video on Nov. 12 demonstrating the dropping temperatures across the U.S.
In the clip, he blows a bubble onto the hood of his car — which is already covered in snow. Within seconds, the bubble begins to crystallize and a snowflake-like pattern covers its surface. When the man filming pokes at the bubble, it slowly deflates rather than pops.
According to Newsflare, the Nebraska man discovered the trick last winter. His advice for anyone else who wants to try: "Early in the morning works best to freeze bubbles since it is more likely to be calm; any wind makes this a challenge!”
