Thawing ice reveals Jeep hidden beneath 20 feet of snow

Updated

In some parts of the country, snow has been piling up for months, and now, between melting and removal, some of the secrets that lie beneath are being revealed.

One of them is a Jeep Cherokee that has spent an unknown amount of time hidden beneath 20 feet of the fluffy white stuff just off California's Donner Pass, notes Jalopnik.

The car was discovered after an unfortunate run-in with a very large snowblower.

Authorities with the California Highway Patrol of Truckee investigated and found that, while the car had likely seen better days, those inside appear to have made it out ok.

Late last week they shared the find via Facebook, posting a picture of the Jeep and writing, "Oh the things we find playing hide and seek in the winter!"
