Hurricane Matthew is expected to hit the Southeast coast this weekend, but people can't stop talking about the sporting events it might affect.

It's valid –- there are a lot of schedules that could be disrupted from the Category 3 storm weather, and even more individuals to protect.

So while millions of residents are evacuating coastal areas in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, teams and conference officials are keeping a close eye on the progress of the storm.

In the meantime, fans are kind of freaking out about the potential change in plans -- and media members are working tirelessly to keep them informed.

Stay safe, Southeast.
