Carolina Panthers and NFL discussing relocating Sunday's game

The Carolina Panthers and the NFL are discussing the possibility of relocating Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Due to riots in the city of Charlotte, the Carolina Panthers are in contact with the NFL about moving the location of their game this weekend. According to FOX 46 Charlotte, the Panthers and NFL officials have been in contact Thursday morning.

A state of emergency has been declared in Charlotte after a series of violent clashes between police and protestors. The violent protests have been raging in Charlotte for multiple days after the police shooting of a black man named Keith Lamont Scott. Panthers President Danny Morrison released the following statement about communication with the NFL:

A new location for the game has yet to be determined. The Panthers enter the contest with a 1-1 record and are coming off of a huge 46-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Panthers were scheduled to play host to the Minnesota Vikings at 1:00 p.m. E.T on Sunday.
