Tom Brady plays catch with Gisele during suspension (Photo)

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has started serving his four-game suspension for the DeflateGate controversy. Brady is forbidden from interacting with his teammates until he returns from his suspension. Not even this will stop the four-time Super Bowl champion from staying on his top of his game, though. The Patriots quarterback was spotted throwing passes to his wife, Gisele Bundchen. The Brazilian model took a photo of their practice on her Instagram account.

Although Gisele may have no football background, the photo indicates that she is athletic enough to keep up with Brady in their workout. Her apparent leaping ability even hints that she may be a skilled pass catcher. Brady could contact old teammates such as former Patriots wide receivers Randy Moss or Wes Welker, but his suspension clearly gives him more time to spend with his wife. Brady confirmed this sentiment.

"I like whatever it is, as long as we're together," Brady said to FOX Sports. "Whether it's movies or dinner or walks or whatever, our lives are busy. Especially during the football season for me, I don't get a lot of time, but whenever I do get the time, it's a precious time for me."

Despite missing their future Hall of Fame quarterback, the Patriots have a relatively experienced backup waiting in the wings. Jimmy Garoppolo enters his third NFL season and will have genius head coach Bill Belichick to guide him through this four-game stretch. It will be far from easy though since the Patriots will open on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.

To make matters worse, All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss the season opener with a hamstring injury. However, the Patriots' schedule will become much easier from there. They will face the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills before Brady returns from his suspension.
