After a controversial couple of weeks, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is leading the NFL in jersey sales. But instead of raking in the profits, he announced on his Instagram account that he'll be donating them instead.

"I wasn't expecting my jersey sales to jump to number one because of this," Kaepernick said. "But it shows the people's belief that we can achieve justice and equality for ALL!"

Kaepernick has ignited conversation regarding multiple issues after he began sitting during the pre-game national anthem to protest racial inequality. Since then, his jersey has become the league's best seller.

This is the second time since the protest that Kaepernick has pledged to donate a huge amount of money. Just last week, he announced that he would donate $1 million to charity.

Now, with his jerseys flying off the shelves, Kaepernick's donation total should be insane.
