'Bachelorette' Star Jordan Rodgers Teased About Roses During SEC Network Debut

The Jordan Rodgers ESPN era has begun. The Bachelorette winner made his debut on the SEC Network Tuesday night.

Jordan Rodgers, who played quarterback at Vanderbilt before short stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and BC Lions, made his debut on the SEC Network Tuesday night. Rodgers, who is perhaps more known for winning The Bachelorette this past year, did his first show with Booger McFarland and Peter Burns.

Truth be told, he actually did a pretty good job. Rodgers appeared knowledgeable about SEC football, spoke well and generally seemed comfortable. It shouldn't really come as a surprise – he's been on camera for a good portion of the last year.

Rodgers did joke on social media regarding nerves, however. On Instagram, just after the bit, he noted that he was nervous heading into it.

Rodgers shared a photo from his first day.

He also shot a funny promo ahead of the segment to show how he was fitting in with his new coworkers.

Rodgers' hiring was met with some backlash. Many who are selected for The Bachelorette are accused of joining the show for "the wrong reasons" – implying that they are out to achieve fame rather than find love. But considering Rodgers is engaged to Joelle Fletcher, it doesn't appear that's the case here.

College football is just a few days away, so you'll like see more of Rodgers on your television screen in the near future.
