Olympian celebrates his athletic achievements by gorging himself with copious amounts of McDonald's

Rio Daily: Rio's famous beaches

We've seen the insane and usually well-disciplined diets of Olympic athletes such as a Ryan Lochte and vegan Kendrick Farris, America's only male weightlifter competing in Rio. But once these all-world athletes are done competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics do they let loose and eat complete garbage food like ice cream sundaes and deep-fried Twinkies or do they maintain their strict diets? When it comes to Australian badminton player Sawan Serasinghe he prefers to go off the rails and eat a shit-ton of McDonald's.

Serasinghe and his teammate Matthew Chau failed to make it to the quarterfinals of the Men's Doubles in badminton after losing to China Taipei, which ended the bid for Olympic gold for the Austrailian duo. Serasinghe then buried his miseries by consuming a ridiculous amount of McDonald's.

Serasinghe posted this photo of a massive buffet of fare from McDonald's on his Instagramwith the following caption.

Hopefully, Sawan has the mental and physical capacities to survive his imminent food coma.

Wow what a week it has been in Rio! Have to say I am disappointed about the match today. We definitely had a good chance to stretch the match to three sets towards the end of the second set but couldn't close it out. We would have loved to end our first Olympic campaign with a win against a much higher ranked pair. Although having said that, there are lots of good things to learn from the matches in the last three days playing against more experienced pairs. Can't wait to go back home to start training and keep on improving! Just want to say thanks again to everyone back home for the on going support. Definitely motivated me to fight hard on court everyday!
Now it's time to eat some junk food after months of eating clean!

Included in his fast food smorgasbord are four packs of chicken nuggets, six burgers, six packs of fries and six brownies. Hey, McDonald's is free for the Olympic athletes in Rio, might as well go for the gold in the eating Chicken McNuggets event.

Serasinghe will next compete in the diarrhea Olympics.
