Tim Tebow is pursuing a new career — and it's completely out of left field
If you thought the days of seeing Tim Tebow on a field were over... surprise!
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is actively pursuing a career in professional baseball. He's gone so far to notify his current employer, ESPN, of his intention to pursue a career in the MLB.
His contact at ESPN allows him to seek out other playing opportunities in the NFL, but it's unclear if that freedom extends to baseball.

Tebow has quietly spent the past year getting back into baseball shape and has workouts scheduled for later this month with all 30 MLB teams invited.
His decade-old baseball experience includes helping lead his high school baseball team in Florida to the final four of the state playoffs. But he pursued football, and football only, once he got to college.
An Angels scout said that the Tim Tebow from 2005 actually had a chance to get drafted out of high school.

'He had a strong arm and had a lot of power. If he would have been there his senior year he definitely would have had a good chance to be drafted," said Stephen Hargett.
"It was just easy for him. You thought, if this guy dedicated everything to baseball like he did to football how good could he be?"
Well, we're about to find out.
His agent, Jimmy Sexton, said: "Tim's athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim's passion and desire, we won't be surprised by anything he accomplishes."
Athleticism was never his problem before, so the possibility of seeing Tim Tebow on a baseball field isn't totally out of the question.
