Tennis legend John McEnroe threw one of the best ceremonial first pitches you will ever see

Tennis legend John McEnroe, a Queens native and noted New York Mets fan, was invited out to throw the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Mets' game against the Yankees, and boy did he not disappoint.

Typically, first pitches only make the highlight reel if they are awful (SEE: Snoop Dogg and Carly Rae Jepsen) and rarely is a good first pitch worth noting. But McEnroe, who is still a good athlete at age 57, showed that he should probably be pitching in a senior league somewhere, throwing an absolute strike and with some gusto!

Here is another view of McEnroe, although you don't see the pitch here.

Clearly Johnny Mac has been working on his mechanics. He threw out a first pitch for the Mets last August and while the aim was good, it was decidedly slower.

There is no sense messing with offspeed pitches during a ceremonial first pitch. Just give 'em the heater.
