Sometimes people love to root for the villain, which is what it appears is going on with the newest Golden State Warriors star, Kevin Durant. His new gold and blue jersey with the Durant name on back achieved top sales in the month of July and surprisingly even in his old stomping grounds.

While many Thunder fans appeared to have disassociated themselves with the iconic superstar of their franchise, it appears that a large number of people in the state are still supporting this new career path. Believe it or not, his former state was buying up the new jerseys in large quantities not long after many people were burning his Thunder garb in bonfires for YouTube.

One would expect that Durant would be popular in many parts of the world, but most especially in his new home state of California. However, seeing the support from Oklahoma shows that either a lot of people want to burn the new jerseys or they are "bandwagon" fans who will also change their team allegiances. Then again, it's entirely possible there are a lot of Golden State fans hiding in the state of Oklahoma.

The site that accumulated the data, Fanatics has the new Durant "swingman" road color jerseys by Adidas selling for $109.99, while his road replica jerseys are going for $69.99. There's also Team USA jerseys available for those individuals who prefer to support Durant along with America in its quest to capture gold rather than supporting his transformation to "blue and gold."
