The Jordan Rodgers 'Bachelorette' update: Week 8

Jordan Walks Down Memory Lane with JoJo

For diehard 'Bachelor' fans, this week's episode of 'The Bachelorette' was a thriller, as Bachelorette JoJo went to the hometowns of each of her boyfriends, met their families and then couldn't decide who to break up with.

For sports fans, this week's episode just made us uncomfortable as we continue to struggle with our conflicting feelings about great quarterback but terrible brother and son, Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron's little brother, Jordan, is still the frontrunner to win JoJo's heart this season, but in the past few weeks he's started to open up about his strained relationship with his famous sibling.

For those who aren't familiar with the structure of the show, last night's episode centered around hometown dates, where JoJo travels to each bachelor's childhood home to spend a day with his family. Jordan Rodgers currently lives in Nashville, but his family makes their home in Chico, California.

When JoJo arrived in Chico, the first place Jordan took her to was -- naturally -- his high school, because what successful, attractive 27-year-old doesn't want to go back to being an awkward teenager?

Jordan mentions that he never really had a high school sweetheart, so walking around the halls and making out in the library is super exciting for him. JoJo is also really pumped about it. Again, this is totally normal behavior for a 27-year-old man and his 25-year-old girlfriend.

Photos of Jordan and big brother Aaron are understandably scattered about the school. JoJo says that teenage Jordan wasn't the football stud she was expecting him to be, and instead turns her attention to a photo of Aaron. Jordan, who has been very open about his complicated relationship with Aaron already, clearly doesn't want to talk about him -- so of course JoJo keeps asking.

As the two share a romantic moment on the bleachers (seriously, totally normal), JoJo asks if Aaron will be talked about at all when she meets the rest of the family. Jordan insists that Aaron "doesn't need to be a topic."

What happens next? You guessed it. JoJo meets the family and almost immediately starts asking about Aaron. Oldest Rodgers brother Luke shuts down her interrogation as fast, if not faster than Jordan already had, and she blissfully lets it rest.

Once the existence of Aaron Rodgers has been all but dismissed, JoJo speaks passionately about how Jordan was able to make himself who he is without his brother's help.

"Jordan is nobody's brother, he's a man I'm falling in love with," she says, because those things are definitely mutually exclusive.

Jordan's mother also described him as her "spicy" son who used to kick his teachers and threaten to run away. Typical youngest child, am I right?

After a beautiful day with the Rodgers family that we would literally give a kidney to have experienced, JoJo is still somehow "scared" of her relationship with Jordan, which is really great and healthy. The episode ended without a rose ceremony, so we're unsure if Jordan will be making it another week -- but we have full confidence in our spicy boy.
