HATER OF THE DAY: Michael Oher Admits He Doesn't Like 'The Blind Side'

No one could forget the 2009 Oscar-winning film "The Blind Side."

Michael Oher was homeless, adopted and then rose to football fame at Ole Miss. In 2009, he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens, won a Super Bowl in 2013 and now he's a member of the Carolina Panthers.

But "The Blind Side" didn't necessarily have the positive effects for the real Michael Oher's football career like it did for the one who played him on the big screen.

"People look at me, and they take things away from me because of a movie. They don't really see the skills and the kind of player I am," Oher said before the season. "That's why I get downgraded so much, because of something off the field."

Since then, Oher has been protecting Cam Newton's blindside and got to do it on the biggest stage this year at Super Bowl 50. The Panthers lost that game easily, a 24-10 defeat against the Denver Broncos, and Oher took heat for it afterwards.

The movie wasn't all bad for him, though. His Panthers teammates supposedly pick on him for it, but he claimed that it helped put him at ease when he signed on as a free agent.

While he may not be the movie's number one fan, the parents that adopted him and created the storyline for the famous film are naturally huge fans of his. Sean and Leigh-Anne Tuohy, who adopted Oher when he was 16, have been huge supporters both on and off the field ever since they met him.

He posted a photo to Instagram of his supportive Tuohy parents:

Despite the ups and downs of his career and his supposed distaste for the movie itself, we still think Oher's story is amazing.
