TBT: Kevin Garnett slays his 1995 rookie photoshoot

Updated

We were all young once. Those of us who were young in the 1990s know that the fashion choices back then weren't necessarily the greatest, but some people really managed to pull off the '90s look -- people like Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Garnett.

Garnett was taken straight out of high school by the Timberwolves in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft. Needless to say, he looked like a total stud during the rookie photoshoot that followed.

The 19-year-old rocked the shoot in a patterned blue and white shirt that you could probably see a sailboat in if you crossed your eyes and brought it close enough to your face. The collar of the shirt appears to be lined with an entirely different pattern, because it's 1995 and patterns are the only thing that matter in this world. The look is obviously completed with plenty of gold jewelry.

See Kevin Garnett's career through photos:

Nowadays, the Big Ticket is back with the Timberwolves after several years in Boston -- where he won his first and only NBA Championship in 2008 -- followed by a brief stint with the Brooklyn Nets. The former 5th overall pick has been an All-Star fifteen times and, despite his years away, is the Minnesota Timberwolves all-time leading scorer.

Now 40 years old, Garnett has a contract with the Timberwolves through at least 2017, though he sat out much of last season due to a knee injury. No matter where his life and career go from here, we're sure he'll remain as stylish as he always has.
