D'Angelo Russell mocks himself in new commercial

If anyone knows the importance of phone accountability, it's D'Angelo Russell. So in a new spot as a part of a Foot Locker marketing campaign, he throws Ben Simmons' phone out of a window to drive home a message.

You may remember the notorious video incident between D'Angelo Russell and teammate Nick Young when Russell secretly recorded Young talking about his activity with multiple women and posted it to social media. Young and fiancé Iggy Azalea called off their engagement shortly after the video surfaced.

Now, D'Angelo Russell is able to mock himself and his own mistakes in hopes of teaching a rookie the same lesson he had to learn the hard way.

The ad features Russell, Devin Booker and Karl-Anthony Towns joking around with Ben Simmons before Thursday's NBA Draft. Simmons is expected to be one of the top picks in the Draft, and after this hilarious commercial, we're certain he won't make the same rookie mistakes D'Angelo Russell made in his rookie season.
