While it may not make my bank-account look pretty, there is something about eyelash extensions that are absolutely alluring. After detoxing from them all winter, with a beach vacation and two formal events coming up all within the month, I can't deny that lash extensions are a major time saver. I will be the first one to say that they are pretty life-changing when it comes to your beauty routine, but I do not recommend getting them often (three times a year maximum).

Whether you have gotten them once before or are thinking about trying them out, it is important to care for them so you don't risk the loss of your natural lashes, and so you don't have to deal with the expensive upkeep! Prevent yourself from making the same mistakes I first did and shop my must-have products below for taking care of your eyelash extensions.

I always opt for an oil-based cleanser to remove my mascara. However, when I have lashes on, I make sure to swap for an oil-free makeup remover so that the oil does not deteriorate lash glue.
The first time I ever got lash extensions, I noticed that my real lashes were falling out along with the fake ones. You would think that would prevent me from ever getting them again, but nope - they are that addicting! The second time, I started using a lash boost on my upper lash line, and by the time the false lashes fell out, I still had all of my natural lashes!

Cleaning your lash extensions are a must but figuring out how best to do so is a struggle.  Whether you are going to the beach or working out, the Dirty Lash cleanser kills bacteria from sweat and will not break the lash glue.

While the lash salon usually provides you with a lash spoolie, I always like to have a few extra on hand to comb them out and keep them in tact.
