This is how I store 100 pairs of shoes in my NYC apartment

Between overcrowded subway rides, Trader Joe's, and minimum storage, New Yorkers share many things in common. Perhaps, the number one thing we all suffer from is lack of space and sky high rent. The beautiful thing about a small living area is that it forces you to get creative and make the most of what you've got. As a 23-year-old female and with a shopping problem, figuring out the best way to maximize all of my clothes and shoes in a studio apartment became a project of its own.

While Carrie Bradshaw stored her Manolo Blahnik's in her oven, I found I was able to store over 100 pairs of shoes thanks to one simple hack. Finding a geometric bookcase with all different angles not only makes for a great TV stand, but can double as a shoe shelf. This Furniture of America bookcase from Target seriously makes for the best shoe storage and even works as chic décor fitting perfectly under my TV.

I have found tons of cool bookcases that fit in the corners of my apartment making it the perfect place to successfully display my collection of shoes. Organizing your shoes doesn't mean you need to have a walk in closet or spend a fortune. Get creative and shop these 10 bookcases that will solve any small storage problem.
