Couple celebrates wedding with demonstrators at Philadelphia protest

Enormous crowds of people flooded Philadelphia streets and parks on Saturday to protest racism and police brutality.

But it was a particularly significant day for two specific people among the throngs of demonstrators.

Kerry-Anne Perkins and Michael Gordon, who married on Saturday, joined marchers who showered them with applause outside the downtown Logan Hotel, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Video published on Instagram by “The Today Show” showed people clapping, cheering and taking pictures as Perkins and Gordon kissed in the street.
