Every night at 7 p.m., New Yorkers spend two minutes clapping for essential workers and first responders. #ClapBecauseWeCare celebrates people working in health care, sanitation, restaurants and other essential industries. Celebrities like Teá Leoni and Amy Schumer have shared videos showing their support. People in every borough are filling windows, balconies and stoops to make noise for those keeping the city running.
