Louisiana becomes 1st state to postpone primary over coronavirus
Louisiana is the first state to postpone its 2020 primary over the coronavirus outbreak, outlets reported Friday.
A spokesman for Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin told CNBC that its April 4 primaries will be moved to June 20 and July 25.
Sources also confirmed the news with WAFB, a CBS News affiliate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Ardoin is expected to discuss the decision in a news conference shortly.
