The Chiefs' Super Bowl confetti included something new: Tweets from the team's fans
The Kansas City Chiefs are your Super Bowl LIV champions and their fans’ 50-year run without a championship is over. Thanks to the magic of Twitter, some of those fans were able to join in on the celebration.
Days before the game, Twitter put out a call for fans to tweet their predictions or shows of support for the teams so they could become confetti at the Super Bowl.
Fast forward to Sunday, when Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid did their thing to take down the San Francisco 49ers.
Cue the confetti, with which Twitter delivered its promise.
Plenty of people on the ground in Miami noticed the result.
Between that and the Lombardi Trophy-shaped confetti, the NFL at least has that part of its championship celebrations performing at an elite level.
