Plane slides off runway at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport

In the middle of an early November snowstorm, a plane skidded off the runway at O’Hare Airport in Chicago Monday morning.

The American Eagle flight, which departed from Greensboro, North Carolina, slid along the icy runway around 7:45 a.m., an American Airlines spokeswoman told the Daily News.

All 38 passengers and three crew members were able to leave the plane and make their way into the terminal.

No injuries were reported.

Video from a passenger on the plane appeared to show the tip of a wing partially buried in the snow.

More than 500 flights were canceled in Chicago at O’Hare and Midway International Airports due to the dangerous weather conditions. A winter weather advisory was put in place until 3 p.m., with between 3 and 6 inches of snow expected in the central and northern portions of Chicago.
