Deer smashes through salon window, injuring woman

Patrons and hairdressers at the Be.you.tiful Hair Salon in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York were in for a shocking surprise on Saturday when a six-point deer suddenly smashed through the storefront window and injured a woman who was sitting on a couch placed up against the window. The NBC News clip featured above shows the whole chaotic scene unfolding.

Jenisse Heredia, the employee seen in the security video cutting someone's hair, thought a car had driven through the store — only to turn and scream at the deer that was now running around the store.

The salon is nowhere near a forest of any kind, so Heredia had no explanation for how the deer found itself in the area.

After crashing through the window, the deer immediately ran back into the break room as everyone hid throughout the shop. Eventually, it left on its own, after getting a hair iron stuck to its antlers.

The woman on the couch sustained only minor injuries from the incident, and Be.you.tiful Hair Salon re-opened this morning.
