CCTV captures terrifying moment wild coyote stalks 5-year-old girl

On Wednesday, Inside Edition covered a story about every parent's worst nightmare. 5-year-old Christine Przybylski was caught on security footage skipping up her driveway, as a coyote followed her quietly in the background. Suddenly, the wild animal lunged at her while she wandered over to her swing set, and then it chased her around the tree as she started sprinting towards her house.

It was only when the little girl screamed did the coyote stop and run away.

The girl's mother heard her daughter shouting and rushed to see what was wrong. When Christine told her, the mom initially didn't believe her — until she saw the footage.

"It was like a horror movie," she said to Inside Edition.

Coyotes are rarely seen in the Chicago suburb where the Przybylski family lives. The DuPage County Forest Preserve confirms that Christine handled the situation correctly. The site advises that if ever approached by a coyote, you should "be big, loud and bold" and "shout or whistle" at it to scare it off.
