Tom Brady reveals what he eats on his 'cheat days'

You don't become the winningest quarterback in NFL history by eating pizza – or at least, not bad pizza.

Tom Brady's bulked-up physique at New England Patriots training camp last week had some fans wondering if he had ditched his famous TB12 method. Now the star quarterback is admitting that he does, in fact, occasionally cheat on his diet.

"You should never restrict what you really want," the 42-year-old told Men's Health.

Brady has famously avoided popular foods like tomatoes and strawberries — healthy foods to mere mortals — in favor of avocado ice cream and veggies. So it comes as a bit of a shock to find out that the six-time Super Bowl champion and seemingly ageless wonder does partake in the pleasures of bacon, pizza and chocolate every now and then.

The longtime Patriot may be relaxing his strict diet a bit as he gets older, but that doesn't mean he's eating just any old snacks he can find.

"What's changed as I've gotten older is now if I want pizza, I want the best pizza," Brady said. "I don't eat a slice that tastes like s*** and then wonder, 'Why am I eating s*** pizza?'"

The quarterback, of course, hasn't deviated fully from his famous diet or unorthodox training routine focused mainly on muscle pliability, and likely won't. Brady just signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him in New England until he's 44.
