91-year-old Illinois woman backs into property, submerges car in swimming pool
A 91-year-old woman from Illinois lost control of her vehicle and backed into a swimming pool, WBZ-TV reports.
The elderly driver, of Springfield, was allegedly backing up her 2003 Mercury Sable around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday when she inexplicably found herself backing across the street between two houses, through bushes and a wooden fence. She eventually backed into an in-ground swimming pool, according to firefighters.
The woman, who lives in the neighborhood, reportedly got out of the car unscathed before first responders arrived.
