President Trump is pleased by Fox News’ coverage of Robert Mueller’s testimony

President Trump approves of the way his friends at Fox News are covering Robert Mueller’s congressional hearing.

While other news outlets focused on Special Counsel Mueller’s testimony under oath that his 22-month investigation into improprieties in the 2016 election did not exonerate Donald Trump, as the president has claimed, Trump tweeted Fox News’ take on things.

"‘This has been a disaster for the Democrats and a disaster for the reputation of Robert Mueller,’” Trump tweeted, attributing the quote to Fox News’ host Chris Wallace.

Trump also tweeted a message of support from Fox contributor Katie Pavlich who agreed with Wallace on air.

"Robert Mueller is not doing himself any favors,” Pavlich said on air. “He looks weak, he does not look strong.”

The former FBI director stuttered and stammered through his long-awaited testimony before the House of Representatives, frequently trying to slow the pace of questioning so he could check his notes.

Republican lawmakers aggressively tried to undermine Mueller’s report Wednesday, while Democrats pushed the special counsel to repeat parts of the report making clear that his findings did not exonerate the president.
