Florida man cut off penis of wife's alleged lover using scissors: Report

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly tied up a man he caught sleeping with his wife earlier this year and used scissors to cut off his penis.

Alex Bonilla, 49, broke into his neighbor's home Sunday and held the man, whose identity has not been released, at gunpoint before forcing him into a bedroom and attacking him with the scissors, according to the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office. Two children were reportedly in the home when the incident took place.

The victim, who called police to report the crime, told deputies that after the attack, Bonilla ran from his house across the street to his own home with the man's penis in tow.

Bonilla was charged with two counts of cruelty toward a child and a count each of burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment and use of a firearm, NBC News reports. His bail has been set at $1.25 million.

The victim was hospitalized, but the status of his severed appendage remains unknown.
