All of the Wimbledon winners from the past 20 years

Winning a Wimbledon title is a big deal — after all, it’s one of the most prestigious and difficult tennis tournaments in the world.

The annual Wimbledon championships will begin on July 1, 2019 with favorites and seasoned pros all eyeing the top prize as they prepare their first serve.

For some of the greats, like Rodger Federer and this year’s current men’s front runner, Novak Djokovic, a 2019 Champion title will only be another tally mark in the arsenal of the number of Wimbledon’s won.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams will also be fighting for this year’s title as she tries to clinch the top spot from current number one seed Ashleigh Barty.

Though careers end and players retire, Wimbledon winners’ legacies are often formed by that match point, the final game and that title that puts them in a special club of elite athletes that can call themselves Wimbledon Champions.
