Stephen Curry congratulates Drake on Raptors title in postgame call: 'Enjoy, man — it's big time for you'

Drake has inserted himself into the sports lexicon like not even he likely dreamed of.

The Toronto rapper and Raptors’ most visible superfan (sorry, Nav Bhatia) not only celebrated his team’s NBA title on Thursday, but he had a congratulatory phone call — with Stephen Curry.

Steph congratulates Drake?

That’s right. The Golden State Warriors’ two-time MVP — fresh off of losing a heartbreaking NBA Finals — took time to chat with Drake about enjoying Toronto’s title.

It was all caught on video.

Curry: ‘I hate seeing it’

“Congrats, bro.” Curry said. “Tough one. I hate seeing it ... Enjoy man, it’s big time for you, the whole city, everybody.”

It’s a wild scene and one that’s very 2019 — and a genuinely humble move from Curry.

Curry looks to be a man who’s disappointed here, but also one confident and content with his place in the NBA as a three-time champion.

This is probably not a phone call that would take place if it was Curry’s first Finals trip.
