Trump dismisses disastrous reelection numbers as #FakePolls

Add #FakePolls to the angry presidential hashtag lexicon.

Facing disastrous reelection numbers, President Trump accused the media of concocting #FakePolls to oust him from the White House.

Without offering any evidence and misspelling “their,” Trump said: “There new weapon of choice is Fake Polling, sometimes referred to as Suppression Polls (they suppress the numbers). Had it in 2016, but this is worse.”

He later corrected it.

Trump is gearing up for his epic fight to stay in office in 2020. But even internal polling is showing a rocky road ahead.

A comprehensive Republican poll of 17 swing states recently showed Trump trailing badly. Instead of addressing any of the issues raised by voters in that and other surveys, Trump has apparently decided stick with his trademark scorched earth political strategy.

He instructed aides to lie about the GOP survey, according to a report in the New York Times and insisted the polls showed “the best numbers WE have ever had.”

And now he is taking to social media to accuse the media of cooking the numbers to make him look bad, without providing any evidence or numbers of his own.

“They reported Fake numbers that they made up & don’t even exist,” Trump blustered.
