‘Seinfeld’ actor rips Ted Cruz: ‘The jerk store called'

Updated

Apparently when you pick a fight with another Senator using a Seinfeld line, you should be prepared to hear from one of the stars of the show.

That’s exactly what happened to Ted Cruz on Twitter after he went after fellow Senator Michael Bennet about his 2020 presidential campaign.

Writing, “Michael Bennet’s campaign is a Seinfeld campaign-about nothing-that typifies the Left’s empty rage in 2020. In a decade in the Senate, he’s done very little...but he did stomp his foot & yell at me on Senate floor”

Jason Alexander, who played George Constanza on the show, responded,

“I’ve met Bennett. He is a great man and real choice for POTUS. As for Cruz - the jerk store called and they’re running out of you. I say, the faster the better.”

Now, Bennet is just one of more than 20 Democrats running for the White House.

He is known for his push for immigration reform and said he’s centering his campaign around helping the economic mobility of all Americans.
