Kentucky Derby odds update after 2 horses drop out

Two horses, including the odds-on favorite to win, have been scratched from the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.

Omaha Beach, who initially was given 4/1 odds of winning the race, was scratched on Wednesday due to a breathing problem and replaced by Bodexpress. On Friday, Haikal, a longshot to win, also dropped out due to a painful abscess on his front left hoof.

Bodexpress was reportedly the only eligible alternate available for the Derby, leaving Haikal's spot open and dropping the field down to 19 horses.
