Search for missing Florida boy in need of 'lifesaving medical care' underway

Updated

Florida authorities are currently searching for a missing 3-year-old boy who they say is in desperate need of "lifesaving medical care."

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office issued an alert on Facebook on Monday after Joshua McAdams, 27, and Taylor Bland-Ball, 23, failed to bring their son, who is also named Joshua McAdams, to the hospital last week for a necessary procedure.

The couple may be heading to Kentucky with their child, the sheriff's office added. The family is believed to be traveling in a 2016 silver Mazda CX-5 with Florida tag DERX82.

Police say that both parents are facing possible criminal child neglect charges and that the father may be armed.

Anybody with any information on the case should call (813) 247-8200.
