Amber alert for teen last seen with mom and wanted man

An Amber Alert was issued for a 15-year-old California girl who was last seen Wednesday with her mother and a man who are both accused of murder.

Alora Benitez was with mom Maricela Mercado and 39-year-old Roman Cerratos, who are both considered “armed and dangerous” after allegedly killing a man who was found dead in the city of Carson on Tuesday. The name of the murder victim has not been released.

The man was found dead in the front seat of a parked white Audi.

Alora was seen leaving the city of Torrance with her 40-year-old mother and Cerratos at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday in a four-door BMW with the Nevada license plate “MARIMAR.” It is not known which direction they were traveling in.

The missing teen is 5-foot-2 with brown hair and brown eyes.

“Her family is concerned for her safety,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.

The murder victim was found bleeding inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to ABC News. The cause of death was not known.
