The race for the Stanley Cup is about to begin -- and it's already shaping up to be an exciting postseason.

The NHL playoffs officially start when the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning take the ice at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday. The Blue Jackets are tied for the longest shot at the Cup, according to Vegas Insider, but they've still been given 30/1 odds of winning the championship.

Tampa Bay, on the other hand, is the unsurprising favorite to be the last team standing. However, teams including the Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames aren't far behind, and are bound to give the stacked Lightning roster a run for its money.
