Michelle Obama says 'nope, nope' to presidential run

Michelle Obama has grand plans for the future, they just don’t include becoming president.

Take it from the former first lady herself, who reacted to an audience member shouting at her to “run for president” at a recent “Becoming" book event in Austin, Texas.

Obama responded “nope, nope, nope,” adding, “It’s not us occupying the same seats, it’s making room,” KXAN reports.

Obama went on to say she and her husband hope to empower the next generation of leaders instead. “We can do more as multipliers," she said

During the event, moderated by TV food personality Rachael Ray, she also revealed that she “sobbed for 30 minutes” on an Air Force jet following President Trump’s inauguration, noting it was partly due to the weight that was lifted after being under intense pressure while living in the White House.
