Watch live: President Trump gives update on North Korea summit

President Trump on Thursday will hold a press conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he is meeting for the second time with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to discuss curbing Pyongyang's pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Talks between the two leaders wrapped up earlier than expected Thursday.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters that "negotiations are still ongoing" between the two delegations. Trump and Kim were scheduled to have lunch but did not enter the dining room where reporters were assembled.

Sanders provided no updates on a scheduled joint signing ceremony with Kim.

Sanders says Trump's press conference, which had been scheduled for 4 p.m. local time, has now been moved to 2 p.m. at his hotel.

Their first meeting in June was heavy with historic pageantry but light on any enforceable agreements for North Korea to give up its nuclear arsenal.
