President Trump's hotly anticipated second nuclear summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un began Wednesday in Hanoi with a dinner at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said.

Trump was accompanied at the dinner by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney. Kim had two aides present, and the world leaders were joined by interpreters.

The first official meeting to discuss potential denuclearization will take place Thursday.
