That age-old saying is especially true of athletes, who put in years of difficult training and time away from their families in order to reach the pinnacles of their sport. It can't be easy being with someone who travels so often for their work, but the wives and girlfriends – aka WAGs – of the world's most successful athletes support and stick by their partners through thick and thin.
Many of the most notable athlete WAGs are incredibly famous and successful in their own rights, having put together long careers in music, modeling or acting. There's no denying that these gorgeous, talented athletes and women deserve each other and are total relationship goals.
